Medkonect ("we," "our," or "us") provides a platform connecting users with licensed mental health professionals. Your use of our platform constitutes your acceptance of these Terms of Service.

2. User Responsibilities

Account Registration

• You must provide accurate and complete information during registration
• You are responsible for maintaining confidentiality of your password
• You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account

Acceptable Use

• You agree not to use Medkonect for any unlawful purposes
• You will not harass, abuse, or harm any person or group
• You will not post or transmit malware or any code of destructive nature
• You will not attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems

3. Professional Services Disclaimer

• Mental health sessions are not emergency services. In case of crisis, please contact emergency services (112 or your local emergency line)
• Sessions are not a substitute for emergency care or hospitalization when needed
• All professionals verify their credentials and maintain their own liability insurance
• We do not endorse or guarantee outcomes of professional services

4. Confidentiality & Privacy

• All sessions are confidential within legal and ethical limits
• We comply with HIPAA privacy regulations
• Session recordings are only made with explicit consent
• Personal information is never shared with third parties without consent

5. Payment Terms

Billing

• Session fees are clearly displayed before booking
• Payment is processed through secure payment processors
• You authorize us to charge your selected payment method
• Receipts are provided for all transactions

Refunds

• Cancellations made 24 hours in advance receive full refunds
• Cancellations within 24 hours of session are non-refundable (within professional discretion)
• Technical issues preventing session completion qualify for refunds

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MEDKONECT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY.

Medkonect's total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you (if any) for the past 12 months of using our services.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

• All content, features, and functionality are owned by Medkonect or our licensors
• You may not reproduce, distribute, or transmit any content without permission
• Your user-generated content remains your property, but you grant us a license to use it

8. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account if:

• You violate these Terms of Service
• You engage in unlawful or harmful conduct
• We have reasonable belief you pose a risk to others

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the website. Your continued use of Medkonect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
